Port Place Shopping Centre is conveniently located in downtown Nanaimo, British Columbia, close to the city's scenic waterfront. Our stores and services cater to a wide range of customers, providing them with all their health, beauty, food, fashion, hobby, gift and entertainment needs. We have over 45 stores and services including such anchors as the BC Liquor Store, Canada Post, CIBC, Fields, London Drugs and Thrifty Foods.
GETTING HERE
Nanaimo is one of the fastest growing communities in British Columbia. Centrally located on the East Coast of Vancouver Island approximately 150 km north of the province's capital city of Victoria.
Getting here by car: Located at 650 South Terminal Avenue in downtown Nanaimo, we are at the intersection of Terminal Avenue and Front Street - just up from Nanaimo's scenic waterfront.
Getting here by air: Floatplane services link downtown Nanaimo with Downtown Vancouver at many convenient times throughout the day. The Nanaimo floatplane terminal is located in Nanaimo’s harbour, which is a short two-minute walk from Port Place Shopping Centre.
Getting here by sea: Ferry services provide transport to Nanaimo and Port Place Shopping Centre throughout the day.
BC Ferries provide a Nanaimo–Vancouver link for passengers and vehicles through its two Nanaimo terminals: Departure Bay and Duke Point. Both terminals are a short drive from Port Place Shopping Centre.
Local ferry service also links downtown Nanaimo with the populations of neighboring Gabriola Island and Protection Island.
Getting here by Transit: Nanaimo's Regional District Transit system has bus stops located in two convenient locations at Port Place Shopping Centre. Transit riders have an opportunity to disembark or catch a bus at stops adjacent to both Thrifty Foods and London Drugs.
